Tamara Metelka
Biography.
From 1994 to 2005, she was a member of the ensemble at Vienna’s Burgtheater, collaborating with directors such as Claus Peymann, Achim Benning, and Matthias Hartmann, and taking on numerous film and television roles in Austria and Germany. Since 2005 she has worked as a freelance actor, performing at the Burgtheater, Theater in der Josefstadt, and the Reichenau Festival, among others.
Born in Vienna, she graduated from the Max Reinhardt Seminar. Her focus on body and language led to an early teaching assignment there, a position she has held since 2001. In 2013 she was appointed professor of speech design, and from October 2014 to February 2020 she served as head of the institute.
