Yousef Sweid
Vita.
Yousef Sweid is an actor and author. He is a Palestinian Israeli, born in Haifa and living in Berlin. In Tel Aviv, he worked with Arab and Jewish communities and founded the Arab-Hebrew Theatre in Jaffa. As an actor, he was a member of the ensembles of the Israeli National Theatre and the Cameri Theatre in Tel Aviv, and soon began working for film and television as well.
He is the (co-)author of numerous award-winning plays dealing with intercultural understanding that have been shown around the world. He has worked at the Maxim Gorki Theatre, the Schaubühne Berlin, and the Burgtheater Vienna, and appears in numerous films and series including UNORTHODOX, WOMAN OF THE DEAD, WALK ON WATER, BAGHDAD CENTRAL, GAME OF THRONES, and HOMELAND.
